Catching up on some (almost) new classical gems
On the other end of the chamber music spectrum is eighth blackbird's "strange imaginary animals" (Cedille, November 14), featuring a menagerie of new and recent works by Jennifer Higdon, Gordon Fitzell, Steven Mackey and David M. Gordon, as well as a club remix by composer/DJ Dennis DeSantis.
